What is ozone?
Ozone is at times referred to "activated oxygen". It takes 3 Oxygen Atoms to make One Ozone Molecule. Ozone is known to be a very effective oxidant and therefore it is commonly used as a strong disinfectant in water applications among others and is ideal to remove bacteria, viruses, colors and odors.


Is ozone available in bottles?
No. Unlike oxygen, ozone is very unstable and therefore has to be generated on site.


How is ozone generated typically?
Ozone is generated after an electrical discharge as in lightning. Industrial ozone is produced by Corona Discharge or UV irradiation at specific wavelength.


How soluble is ozone?
The solubility of ozone is a function of the temperature, pressure, and pH of the liquid it is in.


Do you offer ozone analyzers for gas- and liquid-phase measurement?

Do you offer an ozone analyzer to measure the off gas from a contactor?
Yes, IN USA offers off gas ozone monitors and ozone analyzers. Our off gas analyzers are equipped with a sample conditioning system that removes any water condensation from the sample before measuring it.


What is the best way to measure different ozone levels?
The most accurate measurement is done by UV absorption technology. Whether measuring ozone in gas phase or liquid phase, the UV absorption method of measurement is not only the most accurate, it is a direct method, and requires the least amount of maintenance therefore from a cost of ownership it is the most economical solution.


How can you determine the level of ozone?
IN USA offers a wide range of ozone monitors and ozone analyzers. We have ozone monitors to measure the ozone levels in the ambient to detect leaks and ensure workplace safety from ppb to ppm levels. We have ozone monitors that measure the ozone concentration produced by the ozone generators from ppm levels up to 900 g/Nm3 or 26 %w/w. We have ozone monitors that measure ozone residual in liquid from ppb levels all the way up to several hundreds of ppm. We also have ozone monitors that measure the off gas ozone from ppm levels to ppm levels to g/Nm3.


Why do I need a high concentration ozone analyzer?
A common application for a high concentration ozone analyzer is to monitor and control high ozone generator output. The High Concentration ozone analyzer allows you to monitor and control the amount of ozone that you need to deliver to your process. Based on a user programmable setpoint the ozone analyzer together with the ozone controller allows you to servo control the generator and ensures the exact amount of ozone required by the process at all times unattended.


Is it possible to get a system that delivers high purity ozone for a low cost?
